FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is included in the workshop fee?
Almost all your expenses including shared hotel accommodations at a premium hotel within walking distance to the workshop location (two attendees per room, twin beds), breakfast for 3 days, lunch for two days, two dinners, daily breaks and snacks and one special afternoon excursion. Two full days of workshop educational and interactive sessions, headshot portraits, and what workshop would be complete without lots of little gifts along the way!

Are flights included in the cost?
You are responsible for paying for your own return flight to and from Paris, France.  For International flights, Roissy Charles De Gaulle is approximately 40 minutes from the city centre, and Orly Airport is also a nearby option for European attendees.  November is typically the low season for International flights from North America, so take advantage of seat sales to get the best rate!

We can assist with airport transfer details for each attendee closer to the workshop date but Paris city centre is easily reached by taxi, RER/Metro trains and airport shuttle buses. Costs range from $10 euros to $55 euros depending on mode of transport.

Where are we staying?
All attendees will be placed in a nearby premium hotel within walking distance to the Shangri-La Hotel.  Details will be sent closer to the workshop.

I prefer to stay a single room, may I request that?
Yes!  Of course, for any attendees that prefer to stay in a private room, a single room upgrade of $450.00 is applicable.  Just mention this request when you register.

How many attendees will be at the workshop?
We prefer to create an intimate experience for our attendees so that their learning and collaboration time can be fully utilized.  Therefore, we will be limiting the guest list to not more than 20 attendees.

I am gluten-free or have food allergies, can I request special meals?
Yes, absolutely, just let us know your specific restrictions and we will note for all meals.

Will we have any free time during the workshop?
Yes, we have allocated one evening for you to take in the Paris sights, shop, or find a cozy bistro to dine with your new friends.  Or visit one of the famed Paris museums (the Musee D’Orsay is open late on your free evening!) You also have the option of extending your stay by one or more days.

Will there be wifi available?
Yes, wifi will be available at your host accommodations and during the workshop sessions.

I registered for the workshop but can no longer attend, is my deposit refundable?
Unfortunately, any deposits paid to date are non-refundable.  We will be holding a place for you, should you need to cancel, all deposits paid will be considered non-refundable.

What time will we begin each day?
We will have breakfast around 8:00am each morning and start sessions just after 9:00am.  End times will vary each day.  Please consult the itinerary for details.

What should I pack?
The attire for the daily workshop sessions is business casual.  Dress comfortably as you will be sitting in educational sessions as well as participating in hands-on interactive classes where you will sometimes be working with messy materials.  For the Welcome Dinner, feel free to dress business-smart, and for the Farewell Gala Dinner, you may to wish wear a cocktail attire or an evening dress.  For November weather, you may wish to bring a sweater and a moderately warm coat for chilly days or evenings.

For additional supplies, feel free to bring your laptop or handheld device to take notes or a simple notebook is fine too.

What is the payment structure, can I pay in installments?
A $1500.00 deposit secures your spot, with two/three subsequent payments due in the months leading up to the workshop.  Please see the Investment page for details.
